EOTSC20160208 (th) CB Library - Coloring Circle

Add a Little Color to Your Life with Coos Bay Public Library's Coloring Circle for Adults

Starting in February, engage in a free hour of relaxing coloring each month

On Tuesday, February 9th at 5 p.m. the Coos Bay Public Library will hold its first monthly Coloring Circle for Adults. Local “colorists” are invited to the library to unleash their creative side with an hour of relaxing coloring.  Pencils, pens, and coloring pages from some of the top coloring books on the market will be provided, along with light refreshments.

Coloring, once relegated to the realm of children, has blossomed into a fun and engaging activity for all ages. Coloring books are dominating bestseller lists, with coloring book artists like Johanna Basford attaining near-celebrity status as adults flock to this newly rediscovered form of artistic expression. In addition to coloring's entertainment and creative value, many adults find that spending time coloring helps relieve stress and anxiety.

So add a little color to your life and take an hour out of your day to unwind with some colored pencils and reap the benefits of stress-reducing coloring at the library. The
Coloring Circle will meet every second Tuesday at 5 p.m. in the Coos Bay Public Library's Cedar Room. This event is free, and all supplies are provided. No registration is required. Contact the library at 541-269-1101 with any questions.
